Ants In My Pants

After Shane's doctor appointment today we all had a great lunch with my MIL and FIL at the Hibachi Grill...it was delicious and the kids were so well-behaved.  Afterwards, I did some shopping and found some new clothes for this Summer, plus a few outfits for the kids.  But the highlight of the day was coming home and seeing that the ants in the kids' ant farm had built their first tunnel.  If you've never gotten one of these farms for yourself or your kids, please do....ants are amazing.  Awesome little workers and so strong....can't wait to get up tomorrow and see what the little guys have accomplished. And yes, all worker ants are male, otherwise we'd have 9 tunnels built by now....kidding, guys! But really very fascinating and fun to watch...and don't be fooled into sending away for ants.  Just go into your own backyard and collect a bunch, that's what we did.  An awesome learning experience for the kids and us...and a very inexpensive project as well.
