Bragging
Please let me take this moment to brag for a few minutes about my amazingly smart and talented children. Today was Jack's kindergarten registration and although he was calm, cool, and collected (as always), this momma was sweating it. I knew that he knew his stuff but sometimes I think he gets a little nervous when being quizzed, especially by a group of new people. But, today our little guy passed with flying colors!!! 100 percents on all his evaluations, and the teacher told us he was "more than ready" to start school. She praised us for a job well done, and that was a very proud moment as parents. We also got to tour the school bus and Jack was bubbling over with excitement. He could not believe how "awesome" it was inside but wondered why the driver was the only one with a portable fan near his seat. He reasoned that since it was so hot outside that every kid should have their own personal fan. Fans? They've yet to figure out how to equip those buses with seat belts, let alone fans! Tomorrow, we are celebrating with a trip to the toy store for an Avengers lego set....a well deserved gift for all his hard work and a great first impression at school! As for Brynley, this little sweetheart decided to basically potty train herself the last week or two....she tells me when she has to go, asks me to open the door to the upstairs, and walks up and does her business. She is so smart and such an independent little thing...always eager to do things all on her own and getting angry if you dare to help. We are so proud of her and she will also be getting a special treat tomorrow. A well deserved toy for her as well. And hopefully some time next week we'll get a chance to see the new Avengers movie. I'm so jealous of everyone heading out there to see it tonight...let me know your reviews. Have a good weekend everyone! And a very special, happy 80th birthday to the best PapPap in the world. We love you so much!!! Thank you for all the valuable lessons you've taught us and continue to teach us....about love, strength, and faith. You're one-in-a-million.
